World Book Resource Available at Home!

Randolph Public Schools subscribes to the award-winning WorldBook Online Reference Center. This web site includes all articles from the 22-volume World Book Encyclopedia print set plus thousands of additional articles, pictures, maps, and media and has been added to our library resources at the district level.
This World Book subscription also allows us to give our students and their family's access to this valuable reference source at their home computers 365 days a year, 24 hours a day and is provided at no charge to families of the district!
Randolph Public Schools encourages your children to use the WorldBook Online Reference Center often to help with their homework, special projects, and at-home learning. This resource should give many families a new source for information that was not available before. So parents, be sure to post the instructions for accessing this valuable education tool in a place you and your students will be reminded that it is available.
To access the WorldBook Online Reference Center, follow these simple steps:
- Locate the logon ID and password by logging on to the PowerSchool student grade system and clicking on the school bulletin button. One of the bulletins is Encyclopedia Resource which will give you the login ID and password.
- With that information go to our school's web site: http:\\www.randolphpublic.org - click on the World Book icon in the right hand column.
- Type in the Logon ID and passwordfound in step one to access a wealth of information.
- Once on the site in the upper right side of the screen is a "World Book Kids" link that will change the display. By clicking here you will change the display for younger users to obtain the following advantages: Simpler navigation, Larger, easier-to-read text, Age-appropriate features (Excellent of Elementary students)

World Book Online Reference Center Databases
World Book first called its online product World Book Online Library, but as the number of databases increased the name was changed to WorldBookOnlineReferenceCenter to reflect the fact that the Platinum Version of this online service had over 45 excellent databases. The Platinum Version of WBORC has these excellent reference databases that follow:
