Seven Cardinal Wrestlers Named

The NENAC wrestling coaches announced their list of all-conference wrestlers on 3/12/08. The List includes at least one member from each school in the conference. Randolph tied for second with seven wrestlers on the team. Plainview led the way with eleven wrestlers on the team.
The teams are chosen by all the conference coaches in a seeding meeting format. The coaches present their wrestlers and then go through and see who has defeated who for the placement on the team. If a tie occurs between two wrestlers, the coaches go to a tie breaker format of record and state qualifier.
Coach Schumacher was happy with the members placed on the team. He stated, “We always wish for more but I thought we would get seven and that is what the coaches determined. These seven had a very productive year and deserved their place on the all-conference teams. I have to say congratulations to the seven that are on the list.”
