Principal Pat
Sweeney had the privilege to speak to Governor Dave Heineman about
the future of state assessments. Ms. Sweeney shared her
thoughts about how a state test could possibly be administered in a
similar process as Randolph is currently using which is a computer
based system. The immediate feedback of a computer based
system has become an enormous benefit to the standards and
assessment process. She also mentioned that allowing the
assessments to be given in segments throughout the school year,
would allow the teachers to teach- assess and re-teach if
necessary. Allowing the experts of our education system,
Nebraska teachers, to have input on the assessment was also a
request. |
