FCCLA Officer Retreat

The Randolph FCCLA officers traveled to Long Pine, Nebraska, on August 9-10 for their annual officer retreat. After arriving in Long Pine and taking a tour of the area and state park, they had the chance to go tubing down the Long Pine Creek. The creek is a spring fed creek that is about 50 degrees F even on the hot days of summer. After dodging the rocks and going down a couple of small waterfalls, it was time to get ready and get to business.
Officers this year for the FCCLA Chapter are: Katie, Megan, Jaleen, Kali, Emily, Hannah, Amanda, Dakota, Jolee and Lacey.
Officers worked to get to know each other better, build a strong leadership team by completing some teambuilding and leadership activities, and learn more about their officer responsibilities. They created a game about FCCLA to learn more about the organization of FCCLA, benefits to members, and programs available at local, state, and national levels.
The officers also had a chance to brainstorm project ideas for the 2010-2011 Randolph FCCLA Program of Work, theme, discuss membership goals, and start working on the chapter calendar. Overall, it was a very productive meeting with many plans and ideas started for this school year.
