Randolph JV Basketball Teams in Action

The Randolph JV Boys have started their season with a 1-1 mark.  The opening game on the season saw the Cardinals travel to Osmond, to take on the Tigers.  The contest was two quarters due to quarter restrictions, low numbers as well as injuries. 

Randolph jumped out to a 11-5 first quarter lead and went on to a 15-9 victory.  Leading scorers for the Cards were Carter Schnoor with 7 points, Merrix Denn with 4, and Avery Bermel and John Munter with 2 points each.

The Randolph squad traveled to Plainview for their second JV contest of the season to take on the Pirates.  The first quarter was tight with the Pirates taking a 9-7 first quarter lead.  Merrix Denn heated up in the second quarter scoring 11 of his game high 23 points.  Randolph held a slim 19-18 halftime lead.  Plainview used a strong third quarter to take a 34-32 lead going into the fourth quarter.  The Cardinals were unable to mount a comeback and fell for the first time on the season by a 45-40 final score.

Merrix Denn and Carter Schnoor each had fine nights scoring 23, and 13 respectively.  Avery Bermel also was able to get in the scoring column with 4 points on the night.

Members of this year's JV squad are Sophomores; Merrix Denn, Avery Bermel and John Munter, and Freshmen; Carter Schnoor, Keaton Backhaus, Dylan Parr, Sam Lemmons.

Randolph Vs Osmond  12-2-16

The Randolph JV girls started their season with a win in Osmond on Friday. The girls were able to play two quarters due to limited numbers. What was a low scoring affair turned out to be a victory for the Lady Cards. Emma Bermel was leading scorer for the girls with 4 points. Kelsie Eledge, Shannon Haselhorst, Cindy Haselhorst, and Carlie Nordhues all had 2 points apiece, with Sophia Harder adding a point. The final score was 13-8.

 

 

 

Randolph Vs. Plainview JV  12/5/16

 

The Randolph JV girls traveled to Plainvew for a battle with the Lady Pirates on Monday. The Lady Cards came out the victors with the final score being 38-18. All the girls were able to see the court and make a contribution in some way and played really well as a team. Carlie Nordhues was leading scorer on the night with 14 points. Also reaching double figures on points was Emma Bermel with 11. Leading rebounder was Kayla Nordhues with 8 and Kelsie Eledge led the team with 6 steals.
