Randolph Junior Varsity and C-Team Volleyball

Junior Varsity Volleyball Dominates Ponca On Tuesday, September 7, 2010 the Cardinal Junior Varsity and C-team volleyball teams took on the Ponca Indians at Randolph. The Junior Varsity team came up with an outstanding team effort with many girls contributing. The Cardinals won by the scores of 26-24; 25-27; and 15-7. The following are the team stats: Brenna Thies 5 ace serves, 6 kills,10 digs; Olivia Bargstadt 5 assist; Danielle Backer 7kills; Emily Schnoor 2 aces, 3assist, 3 digs; Kathryn Kuchta 4kills, 3 digs; Adyson Bargstadt 1 assist; Sadie Linville 5 aces, 1 kill, 15 assist, 8 digs; Malerie Hixson 6 kills, 3 digs; Ashley Schmit 1 ace, 3 digs, Jordan Nordhues 5 digs The Junior Varsity also defeated Laurel-Concord/ Colridge on Thursday, September 2. The scores were 15-25; 25-17 and 15-12. The Randolph C-team also played on Tuesday night. The C-team got off to a slow start and could not overcome the deficit; losing to Ponca by the scores of 18-25 and 24-26. The following are individual stats from the C-team game: Jolee Clausen 2 aces, 1 kill; Olivia Bargstadt 3 aces, 2 assists; Kelsey Backhaus 1 ace, 2 assist; Ashley Schmit 1 ace, 1 kill, 1 dig; Daisha Jorgensen 1 kill; Jordan Nordhues 1 dig; Sydney Scott 2 digs; Mackenzie Lemmons 1 ace; Kali Lenhoff 2 aces, 1dig. The C-team defeated the Laurel-Concord/Colridge team last Thursday night with scores of 25-12, 14, 25 and 15-8. The 9-10th grade girls will participate in the Randolph/Osmond Tournament on Saturday, September 11th. Other teams participating are Emerson-Hubbard, Plainview, Ponca and Wynot. Games begin at 8:30 a.m. with Randolph playing Ponca.
