The Randolph Lady Cardinals defeated the Huskies of West Holt to earn 3rd place in the conference tourney by the score of 50-42.  We played West Holt earlier in the season and were defeated by 8 points.  We changed up our game plan somewhat and played better overall.  It was a big week for us and our fans to make 3 big trips to West Holt.  I am proud of how the girls held up mentally and physically.  Leading the way offensively for the Lady Cardinals as Michaela Strathman with 14 points and 9 rebounds and Kirsten Fink with 12 points and 14 rebounds,  4 steals and 8 blocks.  She was a real force in the middle of the lane.    Emily Schnoor dished out 5 assists.  Brenna Thies and Danielle Backer did an outstanding job on a special defensive assignment.  Haley Schnoor canned a long range 3 pointer with 3 minutes left in the game to give the Cardinals an extended lead to help them to victory.  As a team, we again shot well from the line by converting 15-18.

The Randolph Lady Cardinals were defeated in the second round of the conference tournament by the Crofton Lady Warriors by the score of 56-34.  Despite being outscored 22-4 out of the gate.  The Lady Cardinals persisted and competed in a more productive way the rest of the game.  We got off to a slow start and did a poor job of reacting to Crofton’s physical play.  Leading the way offensively was Michaela Strathman with 13 points and 7 rebounds.  Kirsten Fink pulled in 9 boards.  Emily Schnoor dished out 6 assists and Haley Schnoor recorded 3 steals.  As a team, the Lady Cardinals shot 8-9 from the free throw line.
