By Anderson, Mark

September 26, 2012

The Randolph Junior High Football team hosted the Bloomfield Bees last Monday.  The Cardinals played very well the first half and came out on top by a score of 40 - 0 thus moving their record to 1 -1 on the season.  Offensively all the Cardinals blocked well as they moved the ball consistently on the ground against the Bees and hit pay dirt four times the first half.  Scoring touchdowns for the Cardinals were as follows:  Mason Stubbs on a 1 yard Quarterback sneak,  Bradley Korth on a 25 yard run,  Drew Loberg on runs of 7 and 30 yards and Logan Nordhues on a 25 yard run.  Adding extra points were Mason Stubbs to Drew Loberg on pass plays three times and the fourth was a run by Bradley Korth.  Defensively the Cardinals were lead in tackles by Blake Olson, Drew Loberg and Logan Nordhues.  Andrew Schnoor and Mason Stubbs also contributed defensively with several pass break ups.  As a unit the Junior Cardinals tackled well in completely shutting down the Bee offense.

The 7th grade also played a quarter against the Bees coming out on top by a score 8 - 0,  as Ross Wurdinger scored on a 30 yard run and Judson Hixson added the extra point.  Defensively the 7th grade played well as they shut down the Bee running attack.

Next action for the Junior Cardinals will be Monday October 1 as they travel to Creighton to play the Bulldogs with game time being 4:00.
