JV Boys 4-2

The Randolph Cardinals’ Junior Varsity Boys’ basketball team went 1-1 on the week with a loss to Bloomfield and a victory over Elkhorn Valley. 

Thursday saw the Cardinals travel to Bloomfield to take on the Bees.  The Cards started off strong in the first quarter of the two quarter contest.  They outscored the home team 10-6 in the first.  The Bees then came back strong to start the second quarter to gain a sizable lead, but the locals came roaring back in a furious comeback attempt that fell one point short.  The Bees were able to hold on and win by a 23-22 margin.

Denton Kuhl had a strong night scoring.  He led all scorers with 11 points.  Connor Bloomquist continued his strong play with 6 points.  Landyn Anderson and Luke Andrew rounded out the scoring with 3 and 2 points respectively. 

The Junior Cards were able to get back into the winning column on Friday night.  The boys traveled to Tilden to take home a 28-6 victory.  The locals were able to score 14 points in each of the two quarters that were played. 

Connor Bloomquist continued his hot shooting with three 3 point buckets and two 2 pointers.  Connor led all scorers with 13 points.  Five other Cardinals were able to get into the scoring column.  Denton Kuhl had 6 points, Landyn Anderson had 5, and Luke Andrew, Mitchell Nordhues and Adam Thompson all had 2 points each.  The win improves the JV’s record to 4-2 on the season.
