Busy week continues
April 21, 2015
The Randolph Golf Team is in the midst of a busy week on the course this week. On Thursday, April 16th, the Cardinal golfers traveled to Laurel for the LCC Invitational. The Cards faired well on the greens posting a 355 team score that was good enough for 5th in the 17 team meet. Individual placers were Cade Linville shooting an 84 for 8th place, and Mason Stubbs in 10th place, who also fired an 84. Also competing for the Cardinals were Andrew Schnoor with an 89, and Logan Nordhues and Grant Brunssen who both finished with 98.
The Cardinals were able to back up that strong finish with a first place result at the Ponca Invitational on Monday, April 20th. Their score of 363 in the 30 to 40 mile per hour wind gusts was enough to outpace Bloomfield-Wausa who ended up 19 shots back in second place. Leading the way for the Cards was Mason Stubbs, the winner of the tournament with a strong 78. Logan Nordhues came in third after shooting an 86, and Andrew Schnoor medaled 9th with a 95. Also for the Cardinals were Cade Linville with a 104 and Grant Brunssen with a 118.
The Cards are scheduled to return to the course on Tuesday to compete in the Plainview Invitational which was rained out on Saturday.
