JV Boys Drop Two

The Randolph JV Boys' Basketball team had a rough week dropping two contest to C-2 opponents; Ponca and Laurel-Concord-Coleridge.  Thursday saw the Cardinals travel to Ponca take on the Lewis and Clark conference rival, Indians.

Randolph came out of the gates strong, behind 8 points by Judson Hixson in the period. The Cardinals held a 15-14 lead at the end of the first period.  Randolph gave a strong effort but were not able to hang on as Ponca went on to take a 43-32 victory

Leading scorers for Randolph were Andrew Schnoor and Judson Hixson, each with 8 points.  Mason Nordhues had another good night with 7 points, Cade Linville had 5, and Avery Bermel and John Munter each pitched in 2 points to round out the scoring.

The LCC Bears came to town on Saturday for a Lewis and Clark conference tilt.  It was great game throughout with Randolph holding a 21-18 lead after the high scoring first quarter.  Mason Nordhues and Cade Linville came out hot with 8 and 9 points respectively in the opening period. 

Randolph had trouble scoring in the second period and LCC built a 5 point lead.  The locals' comeback attempt fell just short losing by a 38-34 margin.

Cade Linville led the way in scoring with 11 points on the night.  Andrew Schnoor and Mason Nordhues each had 8.  Judson Hixson had 4, and Avery Bermel got in the scoring column with 1 point.
