The Randolph Cardinal golf team recently competed in the Lewis and Clark conference golf meet.  Despite perfect conditions, the team struggled as a whole scoring a season-worst 349 and finishing second behind Ponca by two strokes.  Mason Stubbs did tie a season best 78 to win the individual title by five shots over runner-up Tanner Perkins of Ponca.  This was Stubbs' second straight Lewis and Clark conference tournament title.  Also competing for Randolph were Andrew Schnoor who finished 7th after losing a tiebreaker hole after an 86, Cade Linville finished 12th after a four man tiebreaker at 92, Logan Nordhues picked up a 15th place medal with a 93, and Grant Brunssen who finished 20th with a 99.

The Cardinals rebounded quickly from Monday by winning the Pierce Invitational on Tuesday.  The Cardinals got their scoring back to normal with a team 336.  Mason captured his second individual title in a row winning the tournament with a 77 by two shots over Mid-States conference champion Matthew Schaefer of Cedar Catholic.  Andrew Schnoor played some of his best golf of the season placing third with an 81.  Cade Linville scored another top 10 finish after shooting 87, and Logan Nordhues medaled 15th with a 91.  Judson Hixson rounded out the day with a 101 for 27th place.

The team travels to Stanton on Friday for the Stanton Invitational, and will then host the Randolph Invitational on Monday, May 9th.  The following week will see the Cardinal golfers in District D-3 action on Monday for a chance to return to the state tournament.
