MINUTES OF REGULAR BOARD MEETING
BOARD OF EDUCATION
7:00 P.M, MONDAY, DECEMBER 18, 2017

The regular meeting of the Randolph Board of Education was called to order at The Cardinal Learning Center at 7:00 pm by Paul Schmit on December 18, 2017 with the following present: Members: Paul Schmit, Sandy Owens, Jim Scott, Cody Backer, Loren Haselhorst, Lisa Linville, Superintendent Hoesing, Principal Miller, Principal Bazata.
Paul Schmit announced and informed the public that a current copy of the open meetings act was available.
Motion was made by Scott and seconded by Backer to hereby determine that this meeting was preceded by publicized notice in the Randolph Times on November 29, 2017 is hereby duly convened in open session. On roll call vote motion carried 6-0.
The Board and administration toured the facility and spoke with guests that were present. The Board recessed at 7:20 to travel to the high school board room where the meeting resumed at 7:30 with Tiffany Kalin as the recording secretary.
Motion was made by Scott and seconded by Owens to approve the regular meeting minutes of November 20, 2017. On roll call vote motion carried 6-0.
Motion was made by Owens and seconded by Haselhorst to approve the December 2017 claims. On roll call vote motion carried 6-0.
Motion was made by Owens and seconded by Linville in approving the 2018-19 Capacity Resolution as part of Option Enrollment Policy #5006. On roll call vote motion carried 6-0.
K-6 Principal Miller, 7-12 Principal Bazata and Superintendent Hoesing gave their monthly reports to the board.
Motion was made by Haselhorst and seconded by Linville to enter into executive session at 8:45pm for the protection of needless injury to the reputation of personnel, to discuss the superintendent’s contract. On roll call vote motion carried 6-0
Motion was made by Backer to exit executive session at 9:12.
Meeting was adjourned at 9:13 pm.
Notice is hereby given that at the next regular meeting of the Randolph Board of Education on Monday, January 15, 2017 at 7:00 pm. An agenda is kept continually current and is available for public inspection in the Superintendent’s Office during regular office hours.
I, the undersigned, the duly qualified and acting Recording Secretary of the Randolph Board of Education, Randolph, Nebraska, hereby certify that the attached and foregoing minutes are a true and correct copy of a meeting of the Randolph Board of Education, held in open session at Randolph, Nebraska on the 18th day of December, 2017 which meeting was preceded by published notice.
