February 21, 2018

The Randolph JV Boy's Basketball team closed its season with a 3 game stretch, winning 2 of the 3 contests.  The Cards traveled to Emmerson to take on the Pirates.  Randolph played a strong game and pulled away in the second half for a 30-22 victory.

Justin Haselhorst led all scorers with 17 points in the 3 quarter contest.  Avery Bermel played good defense and chipped in 6 points.  Tristen Mosel had a 3, and a 2, for 5 points on the contest.  John Munter rounded out the scoring for Randolph with 2 points on the night.

Randolph's lone defeat in the 3 game set came at the hands of the Crofton Warriors.  Crofton used a strong second half to pull away from the Cardinals and take a 28-13 victory.  Justin Haselhort again was Randolph's leading scorer with 6 points.  John Munter had 4 points, Avery Bermel had 2 and Cadein Villwok add a freethrow to round out the scoring.

The final contest of the season saw the Hartington-Newcastle Wildcats come to town.  The two quarter contest saw both teams start slowly but really pick up the scoring in the second half.  Randolph had just enough to nose out the Wildcats by a 21-18 tally.

Justin Haselhorst again had a fine night, scoring 18 of Randolph's 21 points.  Avery Bermel was also able to get in the scoring column with 3 points of his own.
