TeamMates Communication Update
March 30, 2020
Good Afternoon TeamMates Local Leadership,
Our staff continues to think of you often and hope that all are staying healthy during this time of social distancing. Being away from those we care about can be difficult, as we’ve all grown to understand in the last several days. Our TeamMates matches miss connecting face-to-face but understand that the health and safety of all comes first.
As a way to continue supporting all of our TeamMates matches, our staff built a new connection tool on the TeamMates.org website- TeamMates Match Message Center. Here mentors and mentees can draft a message to send to one another using a TeamMates monitored system, protecting the safety of contact information of all. To use this messaging system, participants will fill out the form, and someone from our Central Office staff will relay the message within 1-2 business days. Once the message is submitted to our Central Office staff, we will work to relay the message on as quickly as possible, also communicating that during these extraordinary times responses may not be possible, but their message is appreciated.
To help in this communication effort, if you have any mentors or mentees who do not currently have an email address within their Basic Info tab in Civicore and you have the ability to do so, please input and update this information. All of these messages will be communicated through the email address we have within our TeamMates Civicore Database. Should our staff not have an email address for a mentor/mentee, we will send the message along to the local Program Coordinator, in hopes that they can send this message along to the necessary person.
Details will be sent to all TeamMates matches (mentors and mentees/Parents & Guardians of mentees) on Monday, March 23rd regarding this communication opportunity.
This tool will be a great way for all involved to stay connected and continue to communicate safely as a TeamMates match. Should you have any questions regarding our new TeamMates Match Message Center, please communicate with your Regional Coordinator.
Take Care and Stay Well,
Beth Roberts
