Randolph finished its regular season last Friday traveling to Emerson to compete against the Emerson-Hubbard Pirates. Both teams had identical records and were fighting for a higher playoff seed. Randolph came out on top 68-28 after a back and forth first half. The Cardinals and the Pirates traded touchdowns until the middle of the second quarter when Randolph opened it up some with two big special teams plays. . . .
The j.v. football team traveled to Laurel on Monday the 17th and pulled out a rousing 36-26 win over the Bears. For the Cardinals it was the Alex Schmit show. Alex rushed for 190 yards on 16 carries scoring 3 touchdowns of 28, 35, and 42 yards. He also made several key defensive plays in the 2nd half to get momentum on the Cards side. Carter Schnoor got the night started with an 18 yard hook up to Keaton . . .
