| 02/18/2011 | As a parent of younger children, I wish the schedule was more consistent. Having full weeks here, 4 day weeks there, and those 4 day weekends are terrible scheduling. I would rather the kids have a longer school year (as in going longer in May) and have a 4 day week all year long. Scheduling 4 day weekends off for state sporting events is unproductive, especially in the winter time. Not all parents can take the time off from their jobs to be home with little kids on these weekends. Take time off, only if we go to State. The time off can be made up at another date if we do go. |
